Happy Notes Wedding Card

Simple, elegant, heat embossed and die-cut wedding card.

Everyone loves happy occasions and the Happy Notes stamp set features images for creating happy occasion cards and other paper-craft projects.

This beautiful wedding card is SO simple, yet elegant. You won't have to tell anyone it only took a few minutes to create.

Stampin' Details:

  • The gorgeous Blushing Bride floral print paper is part of the English Garden Designer Series Paper collection. (Yes ... again!)
  • This background paper is meant to be seen, so all other elements are kept to a minimum.
  • The bold wedding sentiment is stamped on Blushing Bride cardstock using Whisper White Craft ink, and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
  • The coordinating Lots of Labels Framelits Dies create the perfect die-cut sentiments. This one looks like it came from a packaged kit, but why buy one when you can make your own? I love this new label shape!
  • The delicate Sahara Sand Lace Trim is an elegant touch for any wedding card.
  • White Perfect Accents (enamel dots) add a subtle finishing touch to the card.
  • An elegant wedding card deserves an elegant envelope. I lined a Whisper White envelope with a pattern from English Garden Designer Series Paper using the Envelope Liner Framelits Dies and the Big Shot.

Did you notice there are literally just a few steps to creating this pretty wedding card?

Starting with a layer of beautiful paper in the background eliminates the need for background stamping, embossing, or lots of fussy layers requiring lots of measuring and cutting.

It's a fast and fabulous wedding card that I think the happy couple will enjoy.

Happy Notes Thank You Card

Photo image of Happy Notes Thank You card.

I've been creating with lots of fun new products from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, including the Happy Notes stamp set and coordinating Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.

This week I'll be featuring projects made with this stamp set designed for happy occasion cards: thank you, wedding, baby, and welcome. The set includes a blank tag image so you can create tags using images in the set or from other stamp sets.

Today's simple thank you card is one you can create in about 5 minutes or less!

Stampin' Details:
  • My clean and simple card design is cased from a project in the annual catalog.
  • The layout provides the perfect opportunity to use some pretty patterned paper scraps. I used a new favorite - English Garden Designer Series Paper. This paper collection features gorgeous patterns that appear watercolored and are suitable for both feminine and masculine cards and projects.
  • The "thanks to you" image is stamped in So Saffron ink before being precisely cropped using the coordinating framelit die.
  • The Happy Notes stamp set and coordinating framelits are available in a discounted bundle to save you 15% off the retail price.
  • As a unique alternative to Baker's Twine or Linen Thread, I unraveled a length of Burlap Ribbon and placed individual strands behind the greeting.

Are you in a patterned paper dilemma? If you're like me, you probably love pretty patterned papers. When I'm in shopping mode for decorative paper, I want to know what the papers in the collection look like, so I'll know if it's a good choice for my taste and style of papercrafting. Making that determination from a small photo in the catalog is sometimes quite difficult.

Anyone else have this dilemma?

I've got a solution for you!

TIP: Visit the Stampin' Up! Online Store to see exactly what is included in the Designer Series Paper Collections.

  1. Visit the online store and select the PAPER category from the store home page.
  2. Select Designer Series Paper, Stacks, and Coordinating Cardstock.
  3. Select the Designer Series Paper you are interested in.
  4. Click the small photo of the paper located next to the description and purchasing information. (Or you can click on the little plus + sign.)
  5. You'll be presented with a large window with a full size image of the paper collection and by scrolling through the photos (click the little arrow on the side of the window) you'll be able to see every pattern of the double-sided papers in that collection.

Try it now! View the patterns in the English Garden Designer Series Paper Collection.

Now you can easily determine which paper collections are totally your cup of tea. I love this feature of the online store!

Another great thing I love is the addition of the new coordinating cardstock assortment packs. These packs contain 24 sheets of cardstock - 8 sheets each of three colors - packaged to specifically coordinate with the corresponding Designer Series Paper collections. No guesswork involved and no finding out that you don't have coordinating cardstock once your new patterned paper arrives and you are all set to create.

Making life in the craft room a little easier? Yes please!

On Sale Now: Stampin' Up! Hamburger Box Die

Fully decorated Hamburger Box Treat Box Photo Image

Oh my! Did you see the Stampin' Up! Weekly Deals? The adorable Hamburger Box Bigz XL Die is on sale now at 30% off (while supplies last). If this die is on your wish list, now is the time to act.

Photo Image of die-cuts the Hamburger Box Bigz Die will create using the Big Shot.

The Hamburger Box Die creates a box that looks just like a fast food hamburger box. Fill the box with treats or a small gift and watch the fun reactions begin! This box makes a great party treat or favor box or clever birthday gift box.

Creating the Hamburger Box is super easy using the die and your Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, because it does the cutting and scoring for you. All that's left to do is fold on the score lines, assemble the box, and decorate it however you wish.

See how to assemble the Hamburger Box - including a clever tip - in the video below:

The die also cuts tags, one of which was used on the treat box shown in the first photo.  I've included a supply list for that project near the bottom of this post.

Stampin' Up! Bonus Deals! There are fantastic savings this week in the Weekly Deals in addition to the Hamburger Box Die including ribbon, cardstock, punches, and the Floral Frames Collection Framelits. This week's deals will end on Monday, July 13. (New Weekly Deals arrive every Tuesday.)

With the added bonus deals, remember these savings are only while supplies last. Stampin' Up! has set aside a limited number of products at the sale price. If any item sells out at the sale price, it will still be available for purchase at the regular retail price.

Gosh, with all this talk of Hamburger Boxes, now I'm hungry!
