Stampin' Up! That's The Ticket Baby Card

Elegant baby card in Sahara Sand and Blackberry Bliss using Stampin' Up! That's The Ticket stamp set.

A precious new baby calls for a precious baby card, don't you think? And I've got just the ticket. (Hardy har har!) This sweet baby card uses two of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors - Blackberry Bliss and Sahara Sand - along with the retiring That's The Ticket stamp set.

Stampin' Details:
  • In addition to baby, the (retiring) That's The Ticket stamp set features images for Valentine's, Halloween, Christmas, Birthday, and several generic tickets as well. For quick crafting, use the coordinating Ticket Duo Builder Punch (also retiring).
  • I created a string of tickets with images from the set stamped side-by-side using a Stamp-a-ma-jig for precise placement. The tickets are then trimmed and folded banner style.
Rosette Trim re-colored Blackberry Bliss with a Stampin' Write Marker and adorned with a large pearl embellishment.
  • Double duty ribbon! I placed two lengths of Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon together to create a wide ribbon layer under the stamped image. TIP: A strip of cardstock covered with Sticky Strip or Fast Fuse adhesive is a great base for this ribbon technique.
  • A Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker transformed the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim into a beautifully coordinating embellishment. (Rosette Trim is from the Artisan Embellishment Kit featured in the Occasions Catalog and is currently sold out.)
  • Don't let the name fool you - the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper isn't just for wedding projects. This paper collection contains beautiful patterns in neutral Sahara Sand and Whisper White and will work for any occasion.
Hello Love cloud image with tiny hearts punched from Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

  • Inside the card, I used a favorite image from the Hello Love (host) stamp set to greet baby with love. Choose this set free when you place an order of $150 or more by June 2, 2015.
  • The tiny hearts are cropped from Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the Hearts Border Punch to coordinate with the color scheme.
Déjà vu. See another baby card I created with this same stamp set. Tell me which one is your favorite, because I really can't decide!

The Hello Love hostess set, That's The Ticket stamp set, and coordinating Ticket Duo Builder Punch are all included in the Stampin' Up! Retiring Sale going on now. Hurry! Last day to purchase retiring products is June 2, 2015.

Bloom With Hope Sympathy Card

Simple sympathy card with images heat embossed on die-cut cardstock panel on a Hardwood background.

Today's simple sympathy card could also work as a birthday card with a switch of the sentiment from the Bloom with Hope stamp set. The artwork in this beautiful stamp set is a "sketched" style that looks lovely whether heat embossed, watercolored, or simply stamped.

Stampin' Details:
  • Earn the (retiring) Bloom With Hope stamp set free with a qualifying purchase placed by June 2. (On-line orders included!)  Learn more about Stampin' Rewards.
  • Pool Party Embossing Powder (also retiring) is a pretty contrast to Kraft or Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • The Hardwood background stamp, in Whisper White Craft Ink on Early Espresso cardstock, makes a beautiful backdrop for this sympathy card.

  • Window Frames Collection Framelits (retiring June 2) aren't just for layering. The shape provides an interesting canvas for the focal point.
  • The sentiment is heat embossed with (retiring) Early Espresso Embossing Powder on a simple strip of Pool Party cardstock.
  • A Vintage Faceted Designer Button accented with Whisper White Baker's Twine is a nice compliment to the Tea Lace Paper Doily and makes an appropriate embellishment for a sympathy card.
The Stampin' Up! Retiring Sale ends in less than two weeks. Grab your wish list and make sure you don't miss out on any of your favorite products before they disappear on June 2.

Nuts About You Anniversary Card

Stampingville: Simple masculine anniversary card with Stampin' Up! Nuts About You stamp set.

Sunday was our wedding anniversary and I decided to create an anniversary card for my husband using the Nuts About You stamp set.

This was the first time this adorable stamp set saw ink. I know. Sad, but true. I'm not sure why, because it's super cute, but sometimes these things happen.

Stampin' Details:

  • To stamp the tree I inked the entire image with Baked Brown Sugar, and used a Blender Pen to remove the ink from the leaves. Then I used a Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Marker to ink the leaves individually.
  • The "carved" heart for the tree is heat embossed with white embossing powder for a little pop of texture.
  • The little bird in her nest is popped up for added dimension.
  • Create tiny banners in a flash with the Banner Punch. The punch is just big enough to crop the little "nuts about you" sentiment.
  • Dress up the envelope with matching Designer Series Paper cut with the Envelope Liners Framelits Die. It literally takes less than 60 seconds to cut and adhere to the envelope.
Cute images from Stampin' Up! Nuts About You Hostess Stamp Set.

Confession: This stamp set has a tiny grass image, which I didn't notice as I was creating this card. The idea for grass occurred to me after stamping the squirrels on either side of the tree. I used a Stampin' Write Marker to create the grass, but next time I'll be sure to use the stamp!

My hubby loved his "nuts about you" card. It's cute, but by omitting ribbon or extra frills and sticking with a brown/gold/green color scheme, it fits the bill for a masculine card perfect for a happy anniversary.

We're saying goodbye to the Nuts About You (hostess) stamp set and hundreds of other retiring products. Get them during the Stampin' Up! Retiring Sale before they're gone for good on June 2.

Your Perfect Day Wedding Card

Wedding card featuring Stampin' Up! Your Perfect Day stamp set and Fun Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

There are hundreds of beautiful creative ideas in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog and I chose one (page 105) to recreate using the Your Perfect Day stamp set featured in the Occasions Catalog.

This pretty wedding card is fairly simple to create, but the little details and interesting texture really make this card pop and will wow the happy couple.

Stampin' Details:
  • The Fun Frames Embossing Folders (2-pc. set) create a unique and beautifully embossed backdrop for the focal image.
  • The embossed frame is easy to cut out by hand following the outer raised border. It really pops from the card front when raised using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Simple strips of paper are turned into fun banners for pops of color and sparkles to layer behind the cake. I used Silver Glimmer Paper and a pattern from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack.
A dry embossed fancy frame, glitter paper, and sequins all add texture, dimension, and sparkle to this classy wedding card.
  • Cutting out the stamped cake image is worth the effort for this special occasion card. For intricate images such as this, the cutting precision of my Paper Snips can't be beat.
  • A few randomly placed sequins add a final bit of shine to this wedding card.
  • Chameleon sequins? I've been pleasantly surprised to discover that the In Color sequins coordinate nicely with Stampin' Up! core colors. Although I used Bermuda Bay ink, the Coastal Cabana sequins are a near perfect match!
A large "congrats" sentiment is stamped inside the card to wish the bride and groom well on their big wedding day.
  • I love the big Congrats image from the Your Perfect Day stamp set for the inside of the card. It also looks lovely stamped on a crisp white envelope if you are delivering the card in person.
Savings alert: The Fun Frames Embossing Folder (set of 2) is on sale this week only. See all the Weekly Deals here.

There's just a few weeks left to get the Your Perfect Day stamp set and other favorites from the Occasions Catalog as well as retiring products on sale now. The last day to order these items will be June 2, 2015.

So ... Mother's Day is this Sunday. Who's already done making Mom a handmade card? If you are still procrastinating, maybe this quick Mother's Day card will give you the push shove inspiration you need to get it in gear and get her card stamped!

Stampin' Details:

  • The Blackberry Bliss patterned paper in the Park Lane Designer Series Paper Collection makes a gorgeous backdrop for the stamped images from the Painted Petals stamp set.
  • The sentiment and two long-stemmed flowers are stamped directly onto the patterned paper using VersaMark ink, then heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.
  • Adorning the card front is Whisper White Organza Ribbon paired with Blackberry Bliss thin velvet trim from the Artisan Embellishment Kit.*

Pretty stamping on the inside of this Mother's Day card by Stampingville. Stampin' Up! Painted Petals and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.

  • Inside the card, the flower images are repeated using Smoky Slate and Blackberry Bliss inks.
  • The Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set contains a stamp for nearly every occasion imaginable, including "happy mother's day".

*Sadly, the Artisan Embellishment Kit is now sold out. If you don't already have it, try substituting Silver 1/8" Ribbon (132137) or Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (133668). Either choice will look beautiful.

The Painted Petals stamp set is featured in the Stampin' Up!
