Hey there! A quick post today, with a quick tag project ... and before anyone comments ... please excuse the nekkid gift bag. I know it needs some decorating! It was supposed to be mostly in the background, but then that looked kind of silly, soooo ... please just look at the cute tag and not the poor nekkid little bag. Thanks for your cooperation.
The Two Tags Die gets a major workout this time of year creating lots of Christmas gift tags. For this tag, I die-cut the scallop tag from Crumb Cake card stock and stamped the "JOY" greeting from the Joyous Celebrations stamp set using Gumball Green ink. I quickly added clear embossing powder and heat set it.
HIP TIP: To emboss using Stampin' Up! classic inks, you'll need to immediately add the embossing powder before the ink dries. This works best with a juicy pad, especially the new Firm Foam Pads.
The "JOY" greeting also features a little In Color Dahlia placed over the letter "o".
For the scallop area of the tag, the mistletoe image is stamped in Gumball Green and the bow in Riding Hood Red. I stamped the bow a second time on a scrap, cut it out, and popped it up using a snippet of a Stampin' Dimensional. This piece is cropped with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and layered onto a Riding Hood Red Scallop Circle, with the scallop circle paper-pierced for a little extra detail.
For a couple of finishing touches, I added a small pearl to the little bow and tied the tag with Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon. White Baker's Twine is used for hanging or attaching the tag to the gift.
